South Coast Tints - The Foundation
South Coast Tints use only the very best revolutionary, long-lasting,
quality films on all installations, creating a finish, that
to the un-trained eye looks as though you've had all the
glass replaced. South Coast Tints service is unlike any other in our
industry, geared towards serving consumers and traders in an ethical
manner. Our distinguishing style, starts with customer care and ends
in customer satisfaction.

South Coast Tints - The Story
1993
Phil
Thompson is the originator behind the business concept back in the
early 90's and today acts as the Technical director.
Phil recalls "I remember not having any idea how to
apply films to windows at that time, or what was involved".
This only emphasised the need to focus on quality, there
was no one to turn to back then. Phil brought with him years
of specialised vehicle graphics and contacts within the automotive
world.
Later, Phil approached his other youngest brother, Roger
to help grow the business further. Roger came on board and
worked hard with Phil to take the business forward, implementing
new procedures in a methodical style. The seed was sown.
So the years passed by, continuing to build the South Coast
Tints reputation for providing top quality, affordable installations.
A set of core values that exist in everything South Coast
Tints does today.
2000
In
2000, the next obvious step was to find a suitable workshop to ensure
the business could run smoother and to focus further on better and
better installations. South Coast Tints still operates at this unit
today.
South Coast Tints developed a bespoke management system in
order to capture all information on customer vehicles and
to know our customer better. A knowledge base and customer
order management system was developed. This allows South
Coast Tints to be more efficient with customers request for
quotes, all aspects of ordering, invoicing and payments and
includes a crucial element of managing how jobs are scheduled
in, allocating the right time for each install, no rush jobs,
perfection is key.
New installation techniques were developed and introduced, skills
developed and more staff taken on to meet the ever growing demand
by both vehicle dealerships and our customers.
2005
In mid-2005 things changed and stepped up another level yet again.
Simon (another brother) and Phil Joined forces and kicked
off a new strategy to take the business forward. Simon
brought in skills developed from years in selling software
solutions into large companies. Simon had been working
with South Coast Tints in the background for many years
(Simon developed the Customer Management system from the
ground up specifically for this business).
Phil and Simon continue complement each other well and
aim to take the company to new heights. Whilst Phil focuses
on the quality and technical aspects of the business, Simon
is looking after the accounts, marketing, promotions, business
development and the dealerships accounts.
South Coast Tints have always been leaders in this field,
with many firsts. e.g 1st to conquer one piece back windows,
1st be presented online with an informative web site (Mid-90's),
1st to provide online quotes (Jan-06) and more recently
1st to become a certified 3M approved installer (Feb-06).
The list is long and its sure to continue...

of mouth and satisfied return customers. Naturally, this is something
all the brothers feel very proud of. You will experience their passion

UVA/UVB & Heat protection is becoming more widely understood
as a necessity as we spend so much time in the sun. It's
now common knowledge that UV is very dangerous by all and
we recognise that we must seek suitable products and services
in order to protect ourselves. The vehicle is often forgotten
due to waste of time solutions like 'Baby Shades' that
are believed to work but simply don't. Money spent on our
services is money well spent.
